Great atmosphere and plenty of open air seating options. The food was excellent! I had the Minero cheeseburger, which is a combination of beef and chorizo that had a lot of flavor and was delicious. We also had the fried chimichanga, shrimp tacos, and kids chicken quesadilla, all of which I'm told was tasty. Service could have been better. Younger server, who forgot to put in drink orders and then later forgot to bring a side. The manager brought that out and apologized. Server never offered refills on purchased drinks and only asked if we wanted refills on water as we paid the check. Overall, a good experience and as we are local, will likely return.

Visited Minero for the first time and liked it. This is a nice casual place for lunch or dinner. The Al pastor burrito and taco were very good. Chips and guacamole were good. Beef burrito and beef taco and squash soup were ok. The refried beans need improvement. The margaritas are a little bit on the sweeter side but good.

I was referred to try this place, and I'm glad I did. The tacos were really good, and the queso dip was the best I've had in the area. Everyone looked happy to be here. Like the outdoor patio. There was a little wait, but you can get a drink and chill out, talk, and or watch TV. Will definitely be back to try something else.

We went to Minero’s on a Sunday night before going out to see Christmas lights. There were not a lot of other patrons there. The parking lot leaves a lot to be desired. It is not paved, extremely dark and tricky to maneuver through. We at first chose to sit inside until we realized we were just outside of the kitchen and the space was very small and felt confining. We then asked to be moved to their deck area. The deck area has plastic covers over open areas that I assume are open when it is light and nice out. We were sat at a 2-top table that was extremely small even though there were plenty of larger tables available. The plastic chairs were very uncomfortable. We ordered the three amigo appetizer which included queso, salsa, guacamole and chips. This one appetizer took up the entire table (the previous comment of a very small table). While the sampler dips were very good, there wasn’t very much for the price paid ($14) For main entrees I had chicken fajitas ($26) and my husband had the Minero double cheeseburger ($17). The fajitas were very good and the homemade corn and flour tortillas were delicious. There was cabbage instead of lettuce which seemed odd but surprisingly worked out well. Direct quote from the husband:The chorizo burger was quite tasty and cooked to perfection -- just moist enough without being wet and the bun was still crisp. I thoroughly enjoyed the cheese filling however; the meat didn’t really have the expected chorizo flavor. Then again, many hot sauces were available so I could spice it up however I wanted. All-in-all, I’d buy it again.

I've tried many of Minero's menu items, and I have enjoyed all of them. The real stars are their chopped salad, street corn, and their fresh guacamole. The patio is spacious, the service is good, and there is ample parking. A great spot for dine-in Mexican on Johns Island (although living nearby, I also love to grab a burrito to go on a busy weeknight).

Update 4/23- So. crazy. Good. Had the ceviche and it was amazing. Couldn't get away from the burrito bowl so had it again and it may have been better than my first. I couldnt stop eating it! The flavors they have put together here are just amazing! First review: Fantastic!! Highly recommend anything here. The nachos were so good and the burrito bowl was likely the best I've had.

IT WAS SO GOOD. We went around 2pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. Super kind waiter, lovely vibes, great drinks, and flavorful food. We ordered the trio sampler and the salsa taster. My fave was the queso and and the cilantro green salsa. Note that the salsa is not free, which is super annoying when Mexican restaurants charge for their salsa (since when?!) but food was delicious enough that I’d go back without complaint. Pictured is the enchiladas made with homemade cord tortillas, which made my gluten free heart happy!

This place is Buzzing with excellence. Over the top of palm tree excellence. Top Brews, Margaritas, Lemonade - and that's just the drinks. The food is imaginative and tasty. It's not really a tex-mex place. Those are in Texas. This is definitely more coastal upscale. Expect the unexpected. The atmosphere is superb. This is a very popular place. Update: Have you ever seen the movie Napolean Dynamite? In that movie, someone says something about a Chimichanga. It a funny sounding word. Chimichanga. Well, they have those here. Get one, eat it. All your dreams will come true.
